Dr. Williams has practiced Orthodontics in the Atlanta area for 30 years. He completed his undergraduate and Dental Degree at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Services. After graduating from Dental School, Dr. Williams completed a two year residency in Orthodontics at St. Louis University. Since the completion of his Orthodontic training Dr. Williams has been dedicated to the specialty of Orthodontics. Dr. Williams loves the challenges of creating healthy and beautiful smiles. The reward is definitely the excitement of the day the patients get their braces removed and the happiness with their new smiles. At the end of a long and successful career, Dr. R Moody Williams has retired from practice as of June 1, 2025.
Associations
Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association of Orthodontist, The Northern District Dental Society, The Hinman Dental Society and the Pankey Institute. He also is a member of several local Dental Study Groups. He works closely with the Piper Clinic helping patients with joint and jaw surgery needs. He is an avid reader and enjoys learning all he can about the latest Technology and breakthroughs in the Orthodontic field. Education and children are very important to Dr. Williams and he is affiliated as a sponsor with many schools and numerous charities in the Atlanta area.
Family
Dr. Williams grew up in Tennessee and is the oldest of four brothers. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Dede and his two dogs. They have two children, Mary Grace and Sam. Mary Grace is married and lives in Texas with her husband Jeff. She works in the field of Orthodontics. Sam is currently attending college in North Georgia. Dr. Williams loves playing golf and enjoys traveling with his family.
